T·he various policies of government since the return of democracy in 1999 have given greater focus to the development of the non-oil sector in order to address the challenges of job creation, competitive manufacturing and increased exports. Athough the non-oil sector has generally shown positive response to the supportive government policies and actions in recent times, real growth is still considered slow.
